Since its foundation, MIER COMUNICACIONES has constantly been searching for greater challenges. As a consequence of this, MIER COMUNICACIONES developed the first compact power source for TVRO on the international market. It was the first European Company to have a high efficiency Space qualified Ku-Band power amplifier on the market and made it possible to produce the first european Ku-band active antenna on board of a satellite. In just one year, it tripled its manufacturing capacity and set up a qualified production system for flight equipment.
In August 1997, the first DTT isofrequency transposer was delivered to
Deutsche Telekom in Berlin. Moreover, MIER COMUNICACIONES has been
the leader of the Gap-filler modules in the ACTS European programme of terrestrial
digital television (VALIDATE). Nowadays, MIER COMUNICACIONES is the low and medium power reference supplier for DTT in almost all the resultant International Digital Television Networks and is present more than 15 countries.
Following this market pioneering company line, MIER COMUNICACIONES has developed the necessary technology to supply its own MMIC 'Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit' components, which have been manufactured and packaged according to the space programmes requirements.
MIER COMUNICACIONES is constantly striving to find new products and services for its clients, channelling 15 % of its turnover back into research and development.
More than 50 % of the turnover comes from products, which are less than two years old. This continuous innovation has prised the company with the highest technological and business awards, such as "Premio Príncipe Felipe a la Excelencia Empresarial".
